Newsonline Nigeria reports that Barack Obama, the 44th US President, has continued his annual tradition of sharing his summer playlist, and this year, the Afrobeats genre takes the spotlight.

 

This Nigeria News n July 20, 2023, Obama unveiled his carefully curated selection of songs for the summer, and two Nigerian artists have proudly earned their spots.

 

 

Leading the pack is the Nigerian Grammy-winning superstar, Burna Boy, whose latest record ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ has made it onto Obama’s prestigious playlist.

 

Burna Boy’s distinctive style and undeniable talent have earned him international acclaim, and this inclusion in Obama’s playlist further solidifies his status as a global music icon.

 

Joining Burna Boy on the list is another Nigerian sensation, Ayra Starr, whose 2023 release ‘Sability’ showcases her remarkable vocal prowess and artistic flair.
