APC has applauded Supreme Court Judgement in favour of President Tinubu.

Newsonline Nigeria reports that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has applauded the Supreme Court for its judgment which affirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Validly elected president of Nigeria.

This Nigeria news platform understands that the supreme court in a ruling delivered by Justice John Okoro, on Thursday, dismissed the appeals filed by Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) for lack of merit, and upheld the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court which was in favor of President Tinubu.

In a Statement through its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC said the judgment has put to rest all lingering controversies about the outcome of the election.

The ruling party noted that the judgment reflected the vibrancy and independence of the Nigerian judiciary and called on opposition parties to join hands in building the country.

“This epochal judgement underscores the independence and vibrancy of the Nigerian judiciary as an indispensable feature of our economy.

“It is our hope that this judgement will put to rest all lingering misgivings about the 2023 presidential election so that we may all now concentrate on working collaboratively across party lines on behalf of our people,” the statement read.

The party thereafter, congratulated the president, the vice president and Nigerians on the landmark of victory for democracy in the country.
