Obidient Movement has deployed digital tools to prevent election rigging ahead of Anambra 2025.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Obidient Movement has announced that it has developed advanced mechanisms and digital monitoring systems to prevent rigging and manipulation in the upcoming Anambra State governorship election.

Speaking at the George Moghalu Campaign Office in Udoka Estate on Friday, the movement’s National Coordinator, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, said the group is fully mobilised across the state to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process.

“We gather here today with a clear message of readiness, unity, and resolve from the Obidient Movement as Anambra prepares for its forthcoming elections,” Tanko declared.

He emphasized that the Obidient family has completed the inauguration of Polling Unit Commanders in all 5,720 polling units across Anambra State from Awka to Awkuzu, Nnewi, and other communities ensuring that grassroots structures are “alive, active, and alert.”

Tanko reiterated the movement’s core mission to defend the people’s mandate and ensure that “the voice of Anambra citizens is not stolen or silenced.”

“We have put in place robust mechanisms and digital technologies to checkmate any attempt to rig or manipulate the electoral process,” he said. “The era when results were written in back rooms is over. This generation of Nigerians — this generation of Obidients — will not allow the old order of electoral malpractice to thrive again.”

The coordinator also referenced the group’s GO MERD Campaign, which stands for Mobilise, Enlighten, Resist, and Defend, describing it as a blueprint for civic participation and electoral accountability.

He added that the movement’s focus is on ensuring that every vote counts and that the people’s will is respected during the election.
