Abba Kyari is in fresh trouble as IGP has ordered his investigation over Hushpuppi fraud allegations.

 

 

News Online reports that a 46-year-old Deputy Commissioner of Police and leader of the Inspector General of Police’s Intelligence Response Team (IRT), Abba Kyari, was on Wednesday, July 28, named in a report by an officer of the US Federal Bureau of Invetigation (FIB) as one of six persons who conspired to fraudulently obtain over $1m from a business person.

This online news platform understands that the report, which has gone viral on the social media, has seen the the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Usman Alkali Baba giving an order to probe Hushpuppi in a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, CP Frank Mba.

 

The statement on probing Abba Kyari reads as thus; “ALLEGED INDICTMENT OF DCP ABBA KYARI: INSPECTOR-GENERAL OF POLICE ORDERS A REVIEW OF THE INFORMATION

“Sequel to the receipt of allegation and indictment processes from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) against one of the personnel of the Nigeria Police Force, DCP Abba Kyari, the Inspector General of Police IGP Usman Alkali Baba psc (+), NPM, fdc has ordered an internal review of the allegations.

“The Nigeria Police Force reaffirms its commitment to the pursuit of justice and the strengthening of its professional relationship with the FBI and other international partners.
