PDP has released timetable for 2025 National Convention ahead of 2027 elections.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially released the timetable for its 2025 elective national convention, scheduled to hold from November 15 to 16, 2025, as the party gears up for the 2027 general elections.

The timetable, signed by PDP National Organising Secretary Umar Bature, was released on Sunday in Abuja. It outlines the following key dates:

  • Sale of nomination and expression of interest forms: Sept. 3–22

  • Deadline for submission of completed forms: Sept. 26

  • Screening of aspirants: Sept. 30

  • Publication of cleared aspirants: Oct. 3

  • Screening appeals: Oct. 6

  • Final list of aspirants published: Oct. 10

  • Convention dates: Nov. 15–16

  • Handover period: Dec. 1–8

This development marks a significant step in the PDP’s preparations to reclaim power in 2027.
