The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, has stated his position on the 2023 general election and the presidential candidates of All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi.
Newsonline reports that the Ghanaian president refuted a trending social media post that he called on Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos State to step down for Peter Obi following his health condition.
A Facebook post claimed that the president of Ghana was supporting Peter Obi and had gone ahead to call Tinubu to step down for the former governor of Anambra State.
President Nana disclosed that neither Ghana nor himself has a role to play in Nigeria 2023 elections.
In a Twitter post on Tuesday, Akufo-Addo labeled the information as false and mischievous.
