Access Holdings is set to champion Africa’s Capital Mobilisation Agenda at AFIS 2026.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Access Holdings Plc has announced plans to champion stronger African financial institutions, regional economic integration and increased capital mobilisation at the 2026 Africa Financial Summit (AFIS), scheduled to hold in Luanda, Angola, from November 3 to 4.
The Group, alongside its flagship subsidiary, Access Bank Plc, will participate as a Diamond Sponsor at the summit, which is expected to bring together more than 1,250 African and global financial leaders, regulators and investors.
In a statement issued on November 2, 2026, Access Holdings said its participation would focus on promoting strategies to mobilise capital for productive investments, strengthen regional trade and financial integration, and expand access to finance for businesses and households across Africa.

The Group’s delegation will be led by Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, Chairman of Access Holdings Plc, alongside Roosevelt Ogbonna, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank Plc, and Seyi Kumapayi, Deputy Managing Director, African Subsidiaries, Access Bank Plc.
According to the Group, its participation will focus on how African financial institutions can leverage their scale, capabilities and partnerships to address the continent’s financing needs and create sustainable economic value for businesses, communities and shareholders.
Access Holdings said its pan-African expansion through Access Bank had positioned it to contribute to conversations around connecting markets, supporting enterprise, facilitating regional commerce and widening access to financial services.
The Group described this approach as its Scale-to-Value orientation, emphasising the need to translate institutional growth into measurable economic impact and sustainable value for stakeholders.
At AFIS 2026, Access Holdings is expected to share perspectives from its experience across African markets, with particular attention to mobilising domestic capital, strengthening regional trade and payments integration, improving financial inclusion and deploying digital platforms to extend financial services to underserved businesses and households.
Commenting on the Bank’s participation, Roosevelt Ogbonna said African businesses needed financial services that could support their ambitions across national borders.
“Businesses need finance that moves across borders as easily as their ambitions do. At AFIS 2026, we will show how Access Bank is turning its pan-African scale into real value by connecting markets, supporting enterprise and widening access to financial services,” he said.
The Group maintained that Africa’s financial future would depend not only on the size and profitability of its financial institutions but also on their capacity to channel capital into the real economy, support business expansion and improve connectivity among African markets.
The 2026 edition of AFIS is co-hosted by the International Finance Corporation and Jeune Afrique Media Group.
With the theme, “Making Capital Count: Unlocking Growth Through African Finance,” the summit will examine practical approaches to mobilising private investment, directing financing towards productive sectors, converting African savings into domestic investments and deepening regional economic integration.
Discussions are also expected to address the role of financial institutions in strengthening Africa’s economic resilience and creating opportunities for sustainable growth.
Access Holdings said it would use the platform to advocate stronger collaboration among financial institutions, governments, regulators, investors and private sector stakeholders, stressing that building Africa’s financial capacity requires cooperation across national and sectoral boundaries.
The Group added that updates on its participation at the summit would be shared through the official communication channels of Access Holdings and Access Bank under the hashtag #AFIS2026.
