Air Peace flight operations has been grounded nationwide.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Air Peace flight operations have been disrupted following an industrial action by members of the Nigeria Labour Congress, who reportedly locked the airline’s operational terminals.
The disruption affected early-morning flights at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos, leaving several passengers stranded.
According to Daily Post, an Air Peace flight scheduled to depart Lagos at 6:30 a.m. could not take off because of the protest.

Similar disruptions were reported at other airports, although the full extent of the action across Air Peace’s nationwide network had not been independently confirmed at the time of filing this report.
The Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, Michael Achimugu, confirmed that a union-related incident had occurred.
“Yes, it is a union thing. When I get to the airport, I will be able to get more factual details of the situation,” Achimugu told Daily Post.
One affected traveller, identified on X as YoufoundAlex, said the disruption prevented him from travelling to Abuja for a scheduled appointment.
“I have a 9:00 a.m. appointment in Abuja today, but unfortunately, I am currently stranded at the Lagos airport due to an ongoing protest by Air Peace workers, which has resulted in the shutdown of the airport and disruption of flights,” he wrote.
The protest resulted in delays and uncertainty for passengers awaiting information about their flights.
Air Peace had not issued an official statement on the disruption at the time of filing this report.
It was also unclear whether the protest had affected other airlines operating from the Lagos airport.
Passengers scheduled to travel with Air Peace are advised to confirm their flight status directly with the airline before proceeding to the airport.
