Aishatu Binani has dumped ADC and joined NDC amid Adamawa political realignment.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the 2023 governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Aishatu Binani, has officially defected to the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC).
Binani announced her latest political move on Friday in Adamawa State, signaling another major shift in the state’s political landscape ahead of future electoral contests.

Recall that the former senator had earlier left the APC in July 2025 for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) following a prolonged rift with the APC leadership in Adamawa State.
However, her stay in the ADC was short-lived as reports emerged in April 2026 of deepening internal disagreements within the party. The crisis reportedly led to the resignation of several loyalists aligned with Binani over controversies surrounding party congresses and leadership structure.
Her defection to the NDC is expected to reshape political alliances in Adamawa as stakeholders continue to position themselves ahead of upcoming political activities.
