PDP has denied forgery allegation by National Secretary Senator Samuel Anyanwu.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed allegations of signature forgery made by its National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, insisting that he personally endorsed the party’s official communication to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) regarding its forthcoming national convention.

Addressing a press conference in Abuja on Monday, PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, stated that Anyanwu personally signed several key documents, including the notification letter to INEC announcing the party’s November 15–16 National Convention scheduled to hold in Ibadan, Oyo State.

According to Ologunagba, the signatures in question were affixed just hours before the 102nd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on August 25, further debunking claims of forgery or impersonation.

“The National Secretary personally signed the letter to INEC and other official correspondences of the party. The NWC finds these forgery allegations baseless and misleading,” Ologunagba stated.

He urged party members and the public to disregard the claims, assuring that preparations for the convention remain on track.
