Arewa Community Stakeholders in Lagos and Southwest have pledged bloc votes for Tinubu’s 2027 re-election.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Arewa community leaders across Lagos and the Southwest at large have reaffirmed their commitment to mobilize support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
The stakeholders, who converged on Mile 12 in Kosofe Local Government Area, Lagos, on Tuesday, held twin strategic meetings hosted by the Southwest Coordinator of the Arewa Community, Alhaji Shehu Usman Jibril Sampam.

Top on the agenda was the ongoing sensitization campaign urging Arewa residents across Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti States to participate in the continuous voter registration exercise and secure their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
According to the leaders, this is critical to delivering bloc votes that would guarantee Tinubu’s second-term victory.
Speaking at the meeting, Alhaji Shehu Sampam applauded the administration’s policies, describing them as long-term strategies aimed at securing lasting prosperity rather than short-term populism.
He dismissed reports linking northerners in the Alaba Rago market to the Labour Party (LP), insisting such claims were fabricated to create disaffection. “We are already engaging opinion leaders in Alaba Rago to address this false narrative. It is the handiwork of mischief-makers bent on misleading the public,” Sampam said.
Among those in attendance were Hon. Sani Muhammad, Senior Legislative Aide to the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin; Hon. Isa Umar, Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor; grassroots politicians; and Arewa opinion leaders from Agege and Alimosho, Lagos State’s largest local council.
At the close of deliberations, the stakeholders unanimously reaffirmed their loyalty to President Tinubu, pledging to deliver bloc votes across the Southwest. “We shall deliver for Asiwaju in 2027, in shaa Allah,” Sampam declared.
