VP Osinbajo met with APC Governors, set to declare the 2023 Presidential Ambition today.

Newsonline reports that the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, in a few hours from now, will declare his intention to run for the 2023 presidential election.

Osinbajo’s declaration comes after meeting with some northern governors at his residence.

A presidential source told newsmen Sunday evening, “An Iftar dinner meeting hosted by VP Osinbajo is about to commence at his official residence. APC governors, especially from the North and others from other political zones have started arriving.

“At the meeting, the VP intends to inform the APC Governors of his decision to run for President in 2023 under the APC banner.

“Afterwards, he would be making a public declaration of his intent to run for the office of the President.”

NewsOnline Nigeria had earlier reported that Osinbajo would be making his declaration on Saturday.

A source revealed that Osinbajo feels it’s the right time to address the 2023 issue with regard to his ambition, considering the fact that the election is close.
