APC Goes Hard On 11 Governors, 37 Senators, 15 Reps Working For Atiku

The Deputy Director of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Organisation, Hanatu Musawa, has said that the ruling party has no plan to remove the National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.

Newsonline reports that Hanatu Musawa said the rumour about Adamu’s removal as the national chairman was only on social media.

She stated that members National Executive Council (NEC) and the National Working Council (NWC) will pass a vote of confidence on Adamu.

Musawa stated this on Monday while speaking on Channels Television Politics Today.

The ruling APC has been battling internal rivalry after their presidential primary election in June, which Adamu blamed was responsible for the loss of Osun State governorship election held on July 16.

She said, “We have full confidence in him and I don’t think anything is going to change in that regard.

“I think most of what you are hearing in the news is not the official position of the party but talks around social media. Most leaders of the party and even the NEC are in support of his leadership.”

“I think what you are going to see is a vote of confidence on the APC leadership of Senator Adamu as we have no plan to remove him ahead of the election.

“As a party, we want to go into this election united and unity comes from the top. Adamu has been able to navigate the party to where it is today,” she added.
