Newsonline reports that Femi, who was the first to argue that Tinubu, former governor of Lagos State, did not attend Government College Ibadan, said that the APC presidential candidate must be made to know that the presidency cannot be bought.
Femi, a strong critic of Tinubu, Buhari and APC, had on August 4 said, In the history of international relations, no political party with the disastrous track record that APC has in the last 7 years has ever been re-elected in a free and fair democratic poll. The only way Bola Tinubu of the APC can win in 2023 is if the election is rigged.”
The social critic advised Tinubu to apply the method of persuasion in his presidential ambition.
He added that the Nigerian presidency doesn’t go for the person who runs after it.
Femi wrote, “Democracy is about persuading people to vote for you and not about offering people millions of naira to do so. Let us tell Bola Tinubu in no uncertain terms that the presidency cannot be bought. Nigeria is not for sale.
“Go down the memory lane, the Nigerian presidency doesn’t go for the person who runs after it.” (Kashim Shettima). Let us ask the APC vice-presidential candidate if his prognostication applies to his principal, “emi l’okan” Bola Tinubu whose life-long ambition is to be president.”
The strong supporter of Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, said, “Listen to Peter Obi and there is no question about it. Peter Obi is by far the best presidential candidate of all the presidential candidates we have ever had in Nigeria. And by the grace of God, Peter Obi will be by far the very best president so far in the history of Nigeria.”
