2023 Election: Majority Of Peter Obi Supporters Are In PDP, APC- Doyin

Peter Obi Fumes, EFCC Apologizes To Doyin Okupe

The Director-General of Labour Party (LP) Doyin Okupe, has said majority of supporters of their presidential candidate, Peter Obi, are members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

 

Newsonline reports that Doyin also stated that the 2023 election already favoured the former governor of Anambra State because 60% of newly registered voters are youths who want the country to be transformed by their candidate.

 

Doyin stated this in Abuja on Wednesday at the unveiling of members Okupe spoke at the unveiling of t 1,234 members presidential campaign council of the Labour Party (LP).

 

The Director-General of  Peter Obi/ Ahmed Datti Yusuf campaign organization added that the two major political parties, the PDP and the APC will be amazed at the polls in 2023.

 

Doyin said, “As we begin the 2023 round of electioneering campaigns, the registered voter population figure has tripled since 2019. More than 60 percent of the nearly 100 million registered voters today are youths.

“This shows that there are more new voters in the voter register than old ones, and all the newly-registered voters are ‘Obidients’.

 

“It is just for us to pray for life till the elections. We will show them. Nigeria is a youthful stream and they are ready to support all the way.

 

“Unknown to many, a significant number of the youth and drivers of this movement are active members and supporters of the other political parties.

 

“These are people who could not ignore the overbearing superiority in leadership quality, personal disposition, national appeal, private and public service record, and the clear-cut expression of vision and governance solutions of Obi and Datti.”
