Zenith Bank Tops N4.5bn Trades as NGX All-Share Index Surges Past 145,000 Mark

ZENITHBANK topped the trading value chart with N4.5 billion in transactions, highlighting strong institutional interest.

Zenith Bank topped N4.5bn trades as NGX All-Share Index surged past 145,000 mark.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) continued its bullish run as the All-Share Index (ASI) soared by 1,017.5 points to close at 145,813.9, marking a 0.70% daily gain and pushing the year-to-date performance to 41.67%.

The rally was fueled by heightened investor activity, with trading volume surging to 1.7 billion shares, up from 1.03 billion shares on the previous day. Total market capitalization also breached a new milestone, crossing the N92 trillion mark to settle at N92.2 trillion, recorded across 35,137 deals.

Top Value Trade: Zenith Bank Leads with N4.5 Billion

 

ZENITHBANK topped the trading value chart with N4.5 billion in transactions, highlighting strong institutional interest. It was followed by:

  • CONHALLPLC – N2.6 billion

  • MTNN – N1.7 billion

  • UBA – N1.6 billion

  • ACCESSCORP – N1.5 billion

On the volume chart, CONHALLPLC led with 1 billion shares traded, followed by LINKASSURE with 562.3 million shares, while STERLINGNG, AIICO, and ZENITHBANK completed the top five.

  • SCOA: +10.00% to N5.50

  • HMCALL: +10.00% to N4.84

  • NEM: +10.00% to N29.70

  • LEARNAFRCA: +10.00% to N6.27

  • JAIZBANK: +10.00% to N4.73

Top 5 Losers:

  • UACN: -10.00% to N90.00

  • NGXGROUP: -10.00% to N63.00

  • UHOMREIT: -10.00% to N57.60

  • LIVINGTRUST: -9.93% to N5.35

  • MULTIVERSE: -9.68% to N9.80

SWOOT & FUGAZ Performance: Mixed Sentiment

In the Stocks Worth Over One Trillion Naira (SWOOT) segment:

  • TRANSCORP HOTELS jumped +9.95%

  • BUA CEMENT rallied +7.33%

  • INTERNATIONAL BREWERIES declined -2.17%

  • Nigerian Breweries (NB) dipped -0.53%

Among the FUGAZ banks:

  • FIRSTHOLDCO: +1.25%

  • GTCO: +0.40%

  • ACCESSCORP: -0.55%

  • ZENITHBANK: -1.98%

  • UBA: -1.64%

Market Outlook: All Eyes on 150,000 ASI Target

With the All-Share Index holding firmly above the 145,000 threshold, analysts believe sustained positive sentiment and investor momentum could drive the market towards the 150,000 level in the near term.
