Popular and Influential Nollywood Actor, Yul Edochie has advised the leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on how to achieve an independent state of Biafra for South East people.
Newsonline reports that Yul, a former governorship candidate of Anambra State, under Young Progressives Party (YPP) lamented that causing chaos in the South East region cannot help Ndigbo achieve the Biafra they want.
The South East geo-political zone of Nigeria has been emersed in security challenges caused by agitation for an independent state of Biafra.
The detention of the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the main Biafra agitation group in the region has been in detention contrary to court judgments mandating the Federal government led by President Muhammadu Buhari and the Department of State Security (DSS) to release him.
The continuous detention of the IPOB leader, Kanu has been pointed out by the apex socio-political and cultural organization of the region Ohanaeze Ndigvo as one of the reasons for insecurity in the region.

To press down their demand for the release of its leader, the separatist group, IPOB, declared Monday of every week as a day of rest in the five South Eastern states.
The economic implications of the sit-at-home order by IPOB have been said to have had great effect on the economy of the region.
The son of a veteran Nollywood legend, Pete Edochie, advised IPOB that Ndigbo must find peace and apply diplomatic means to achieve the Biafra state.
Yul Edochie said the use of violence on the people of the South East as means of enforcing sit-at-home can only bring division among the region people.
Yul said, “To achieve Biafra we must find peaceful and diplomatic ways to make the world hear our voice.
And it starts by preaching LOVE, PEACE and UNITY amongst Ndi Igbo.”
He added, “Using violence on your people will only bring division. And a divided house can never achieve anything meaningful.”
He further advised Simon Ekpa whom the leadership of IPOB accused of sponsoring and enforcing the sit-at-home order with miscreants against the directive of Nnamdi Kanu to embrace peace.
Dear Simon Ekpa, ‘sit at home’ will not bring Biafra. Suffering your own people will not bring Biafra.
Nigeria wasn’t joined by Emeka or Chioma, Nigeria was joined by the British government for their own personal reasons, therefore suffering your people to make a point is of no use,” Yul tweeted.
