Why I Told Peter Obi He Can't Win, I'm Not Part Of His Plan- Arthur Eze

One of the richest men in Igbo Land and Crowned Prince of Ukpo, Prince Arthur Eze, has disclosed that he is not supporting the presidential ambition of Peter Obi because he cannot win the 2023 election.

Newsonline reports that the Anambra-born-business billionaire, Prince Arthur Eze, said though Peter Obi has the capacity to lead Nigeria, it would not be wise to allow him to waste his money and time.

Arthur 1000, as he is popularly called among the South East people of Nigeria, said this at the occasion of the 2022 Ofala festival of HRH Igwe (Dr.) Robert Eze, the traditional ruler of Ukpo in Dunukofia local government area of Anambra state.

Recall that Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra state had in November met the businessman in his hometown in Ukpo to seek his support for his presidential ambition under the Labour Party.

Speaking at the Ofala festive, Arthur Eze said he asked the former Anambra governor the states he thinks he could win the South West and Northern regions. He said, though, Peter Obi told him he was sure he would not win the states he mentioned.

Arthur Eze said, “I warned Peter Obi to withdraw from this race but he would not listen. I told him plainly that I am not part of his plans. I told him to drop his ambition, and wait for next time.

“When he told me about his ambition, I asked him the states he thinks he can win in the west and in the north – he told me; but I was not convinced. I told him he cannot not win; so that he would not waste his time and money.”
