VIDEO: Adeleke, Adewusi Take Oath As 6th Executive Governor, Deputy Governor Of Osun State

The event witnessed the presence of PDP chieftains and dignitaries across the states.

Adeleke and Adewusi took the oath of office and allegiance as Governor and Deputy Governor of Osun State, respectively.

 

Senator Ademola Adeleke has been sworn in as the Governor of Osun State.

Newsonline reports that the oaths were administered to Adeleke and his deputy, Kola Adewusi, by the Osun State Chief Judge, Adepele Ojo, at a well-attended event on Sunday.

This online news platform recalls that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was officially declared the winner of the Osun State governorship election in mid-July by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

 

The event witnessed the presence of PDP chieftains and dignitaries across the states.

Adeleke was reported to have entered the venue in a long convoy of vehicles at about 11:20 am and took his oath at about 11:50 am.

Also  in attendance at the event held in the main bowl of Osogbo City Stadium are the 2023 PDP presidential candidate and his running mate, Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, respectively.

 

 

The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki and his counterpart in Akwa Ibom State, Governor Emmanuel Udom, were also present.

Also present were Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Governor Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State, Former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose and Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

Also at the venue were: Wife of the PDP presidential candidate, Titi Atiku, Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, and former Oyo governor, Chief Rashidi Ladoja, among others.
