VDM Slams Access Bank Over Press Release On Deceased Customer’s Alleged Missing N500M

VDM queried why Access Bank failed the speak on the issue of the missing account statements from 2016 to 2020.

VDM has further slammed Access Bank over the press release on a deceased customer’s alleged missing N500M.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that controversial online personality, Mr. Martins Otse, popularly known as “VeryDarkMan,” who recently called out Access Bank for allegedly withholding a deceased customer’s N500m has further slammed the bank’s top management over a recent press statement.

 

This Nigeria news platform recalls that VDM in a now-viral video trending on various social media platforms mobilized Nigerians to boycott Access Bank pending the outcome of the case.

 

VDM narrated how the sum of over N500m lodged in Access Bank Plc by one late Edeth Idong reportedly vanished from the account with no trace at all.

Responding to the accusations of poor practice and the security of customers’ money in the bank, Access Bank emphasised that the safety and security of customer’s funds are core priorities which they take seriously. The bank which is currently under fire by a section of Nigerians on social media further claimed that the case of missing funds in the bank is most untrue and baseless.

 

“There is nor N500 million or any other amount missing from the subject customer’s account or from any other customer’s account with us” Access Bank stated in a terse press statement on Sunday

Meanwhile, NewsOnline Nigeria reports that VeryDarkMan has trashed Access Bank’s press statement on the grounds of not addressing the pertinent questions he raised in his initial video.

 

VDM queried why Access Bank failed the speak on the issue of the missing account statements from 2016 to 2020. He further accused the bank of foul play while pledging to digger deeper into the case and unearth any unethical gameplay by the bank.
