Newsonline reported that at least four persons have lost their lives in an explosion that rocked the palace of Ohinoyi of Ebiraland in Kogi State, Alhaji Ado Ibrahim.
It was gathered that the explosion, the actual cause of which has yet to be ascertained, occurred around 9 am on Thursday.
It was learnt that the incident happened at the Azad Palace in the Okenne Local Government Area of the state and claimed lives.
Prince Malik Ado-Ibrahim, who reacted to the bomb attack at Azad Palace, in Kogi state, before the arrival of President Muhammadu Buhari, shared photos of how the bomb explosion wrecked some buildings in the palace on his Instagram page.
He stressed that none of the family members were hurt.
He expressed displeasure at the incident and also thanked everyone who has shown concern for the family.
He wrote: “I would like to thank all well meaning Nigerians for the outpouring of love and support shown and expressed to my family after this bomb attack at Azad Palace today. His Majesty is safe and well and no family members were hurt. Our condolences and prayers go to those that loss their lives and those that were injured in this cowardly attack.
“There is really no reason for such violence. No one lives forever. Judgement day is for us all at the end of days, not on earth for some self righteous bigots.
“How did we as Nigerians get to this point where suicide bombing is even a option? This saddens me and my family greatly.
“For all I am sure of, to the earth we shall all return and to our maker Allah, God Almighty, we will have to face for our deeds in this life.
“Once again. My whole family and I, are so grateful and thankful for all the love and support we have received”
