Newsonline reports that Festus Keyamo, who also is the Minister of State for Labour and Employment mocked the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that their candidate will unify them to ensure they give no reason when defeated in 2023.
The PDP has been in battle since May when they had their presidential primary election.
The issue has been between the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, and the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and the national chairman, Ayu Iyorchia.
Keyamo mocked on his Twitter handle, “If PDP begs us, we may consider donating the real UNIFIER, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to assist in unifying their ranks to get them ready for their comprehensive defeat in 2023.”
He added “We want a healthy opposition during the election. We don’t want the excuse that we fought with a disabled opponent.”
The trouble in PDP led to the resignation of the Board of Trustees (BoT) chairman, Walid Jibrin.
Governor Wike wants the national chairman, Ayu to resign from his position according agreement he alleged the former senate president had with the party.
