
Newsonline reports that the 15th edition of The Headies, the annual award ceremony celebrating outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry is live today, Sunday, September 4, 2022.
This online news platform understands that the 15th Headies otherwise referred to as The Headies 2022 or The Headies Award 2022, titled “Join the Movement“, has kicked off at the Cobbs Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, United States.
Newsonline reports that this year’s edition of the award event is the first time the award ceremony would be held outside Nigeria since its inception in 2006.
This year’s award ceremony is hosted by Super talented Actor and Comedian Anthony Andersen and multi-talented Nigerian American Actress Osas Ighodaro.
The red carpet session of the 15th Headies was scheduled to kick off by 2 pm while the main ceremony starts by 5 pm. The award ceremony will be broadcast live on HipTV, Channel 324 on DStv, and Channel 74 on GOtv.
The Headies Award 2022 can also be watched on social media via HipTV’s YouTube and Facebook accounts. Fans of the award can follow the event via The Headies’ official Twitter handle here.
Several music stars have won The Headies in the past including Davido, Wizkid, and 2Baba. The award ceremony has also been trailed by heated controversies on several occasions.
