The Prevailing Insecurity in parts of the Country has always been a big issue for Lawmakers at the Upper legislative Chamber of the National Assembly.

At the Proceedings , Lawmakers raised concerns over the disturbing security reports and the Challenges of Nigeria’s armed forces.

They believe the seemingly feisty relationship among Security agencies over the years could be a significant contributory factor to the rising scourge of insecurity that has festered for so long.

The Senate has now summoned the Country’s security Chiefs for an Emergency closed door meeting where lawmakers will get a better knowledge of what security chiefs are doing to find a sustainable solution to the security situation.

The Senate also hopes the meeting will improve the inter- operational synergy among security agencies and enhance the effectiveness of their efforts in tackling all threats to national security.
