When will schools resume after Easter break? Now, so many people have been asking when is the resumption date fixed by the government for schools to reopen. This includes not only primary and secondary schools but tertiary institutions as well.
The Federal Ministry of Education has announced 9th May 2022 as the new resumption date for all schools for the 2022/2023 academic session. This means all primary and secondary schools are expected to resume for the new term on the above date.
All students are to make preparations to resume at their various schools on the slated date above to ensure they don’t miss important topics that will be taught in the first week of resumption in various schools across Nigeria.
However, please take note that the state government can also alter this date as it demands, but the Federal Ministry has proposed its own date for schools to resume so for now all schools are expected to have this in mind.
For private schools and public schools alike, the third term resumption date is on 9th May 2022. All educational institutions will reopen for the new term on this date after the holidays. Secondary school resumption date is still the same as the primary school resumption date in Nigeria.
