Polaris Bank is set to host the 2025 Annual Media Capacity Seminar focused on Digital Journalism Evolution in Nigeria.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Polaris Bank is set to host the 11th edition of its Annual Media Capacity Seminar on Wednesday, July 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

This year’s theme, “Empowering Journalists in the Digital Age: Storytelling, Tools & Transformation,” reflects the bank’s commitment to equipping journalists with modern skills and tools to navigate the fast-evolving media landscape.

The 2025 seminar will feature two renowned media professionals: Taiwo Obe, Founder and Director of the Journalism Clinic, and Abayomi Adisa, a Senior Journalist at the BBC. Both facilitators bring decades of experience and are expected to deliver practical, future-focused insights into the craft and business of journalism in the digital era.

Since its inception in 2015, Polaris Bank’s Media Capacity Seminar has trained over 5,500 journalists across Nigeria, solidifying its reputation as one of the country’s most impactful journalism development initiatives. The program aims to strengthen professional standards and enhance the capacity of media practitioners through consistent training and mentorship.

Last year’s edition, which adopted a hybrid format, drew more than 500 participants and focused on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in journalism. Participants explored topics such as AI-powered reporting, data visualization, multimedia storytelling, and ethical fact-checking.

Building on that momentum, the 2025 seminar will delve into essential areas of digital journalism, including immersive storytelling techniques, newsroom transformation strategies, and innovative tools to help media professionals remain relevant, credible, and impactful in today’s information-saturated environment.

Participation in the seminar is free but requires prior registration. Interested attendees can register at bit.ly/PAMC2025.

Polaris Bank reaffirmed its dedication to fostering responsible journalism and professional media education, stressing the importance of a well-informed press in advancing democracy, transparency, and national development.
