PDP Crisis: Atiku Dares Wike, Makes Provoking Appointment In Rivers

The mission to Rescue Nigeria that was initiated in 2018 will come to a fulfillment by the Special Grace of Almighty God.

As the PDP crisis lingers, a Monday appointment from Atiku Abubakar could be interpreted as a dare to Wike, Rivers State governor who may think with the pull out of his camp from the campaign council the presidential candidate would succumb to his requests.

Newsonline reports that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on Monday, appointed a former national chairman of the party, and rival of the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike as his Techincal Adviser.

Prince Uche Secondus, a former national chairman of PDP, whom Wike was accused of having a hand in the crisis that made him give up the position announced his position, adding that the rescue mission that was initiated in 2018 will come to fulfillment.

Secondus wrote on Monday, “I have just received the news of my appointment as Technical Adviser to H.E Atiku Abubakar in his 2023 Presidential Campaign.

He added, “The mission to Rescue Nigeria that was initiated in 2018 will come to a fulfillment by the Special Grace of Almighty God.”

Reacting to the appointment of Secondus, Atiku’s presidential campaign spokesman, Daniel Bwala said, “May I congratulate a most distinguished elder statesman, Uche Secondus for his appointment as Special Adviser Technical by our flag bear H.E Atiku. This is indeed a big step towards delivering on the mandate of rescuing Nigeria.”

Recall that Secondus had challenged Wike on his threat that he would crush those PDP politicians from Rivers who are working with Atiku.

“We will take every might we have, we will even leave our enemy and finish you first. “So all of you going to Abuja to hold meetings with our enemies in the state, I’m going to finish you to the last”, Wike vowed.

Secondus described the threat by Wike as a “disdainful threat..that he will crush anybody who works with him in support of the PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.”

He said, “Wike you cannot crush anybody, I cannot fight or join issues with you, only God can crush.”

Secondus further reminded the Rivers State governor, “No condition is permanent and nobody can become Governor of a state or President of this country forever.”
