Organ Harvesting: Ukpo Asks Court Not To Release Bio-Data To Ekweremadu, London Court

The applicant is praying to the court to restrain the defendants, their agents, privies, staff, and workers from releasing any information concerning him to Ekweremadu and his wife for their defense in the London court.

The alleged victim of organ harvesting and human trafficking, David Ukpo, has asked a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to stop the release of his bio-data to Senator Ike Ekweremadu and the London Court trailing the case.

 

Newsonline reports that David Ukpo made the prayer to the court on Tuesday, citing a lack of fair hearing and breach of his privacy.

 

Remember that the Federal High Court had on July 1, ordered the release of the bio-data to the London Court for use in Ekweremadu’s trial.

 

Ukpo said the July 1 ruling of the court neither included him nor the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, as Chief Law Officer of the Federation, as parties in the suit.

In a motion on notice, Daily Post cited, Ukpo filed through his lawyer, Mr Bamidele Igbinedion, he prayed Justice Inyang Eden Ekwo to reverse the order permitting the release of his bio-data to Ekweremadu and his wife for their defense before Uxbridge Magistrate Court in London.

 

Defendants in the motion bothering on the alleged breach of fundamental rights are National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, Comptroller General, Nigeria Immigration Service, Stanbic IBTC Bank, United Bank for Africa, UBA, and Nigeria Inter-bank Settlement System.

 

The applicant is praying to the court to restrain the defendants, their agents, privies, staff, and workers from releasing any information concerning him to Ekweremadu and his wife for their defense in the London court.

 

Recall that Senator Ike Ekweremadu along with his wife Beatrice was arrested in London over an alleged organ harvesting of a minor, David Ukpo by the London Metropolitan police.

 

Senator Ike Ekweremadu has been detained by the Uxbridge Magistrate Court in London while the trial continued.
