NewsOnline reports that APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was caught on camera, allegedly sleeping all through the Peace Accord meeting held at Transcorp Hilltop Hotel in Abuja on Friday.
The Peace Accord meeting was organized by the National Peace Committee for all presidential candidates ahead of the February 25 presidential election.
The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) Omoyele Sowore, after the meeting uploaded to his Twitter handle a purported picture of the former governor of Lagos sleeping during the meeting.
According to Sowore, Tinubu allegedly slept all through the meeting, adding that his party’s national chairman, Abdullahi Adamu gave speech on his behalf.
He said, We just returned from a meeting of party leaders/Presidential candidates with the national peace committee in Abuja, the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu slept through the meeting, he didn’t say a word. His party chair spoke on his behalf.”
In reaction to the picture that raised again questions in the mind of the citizens if the APC presidential candidate if medically fit for the position of the presidency, APC said nothing was wrong that Tinubu slept in a meeting. APC campaign council said all humans can sleep at events. They, however, disagreed with the picture posted by Sowore.
Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign council director of digital and new media, Femi Fani Kayode, said any Nigerian who believed the picture posted by AAC presidential candidate can believe any lies.
Kayode in reaction said, “If you believe this you will believe anything.”
