1. The camps of the Peoples Democratic Party standard bearer, Atiku Abubakar and the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on Wednesday, protested the BBC report that there is no evidence to back the diploma forgery allegation against President Bola Tinubu. The BBC report concluded that the allegation that Tinubu submitted a forged CSU certificate to the INEC was false.
2. The International Monetary Fund, on Tuesday, commended the Nigerian government for removing the fuel subsidy but noted that efforts must be made to protect poor citizens from the high cost of living crisis. Specifically, the Washington-based lender said the Federal Government must complement the fuel subsidy removal with a set of policies that could help lower inflation and protect the most vulnerable citizens.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has recovered a combined sum of N27,184,357,524.52 and $19,084,419.33 from three different money laundering cases, as further efforts are being made by the anti-graft agency to recover more illicit funds.
