Liverpool defender, Virgil van Dijk has heaped praises on Jurrien Timber and claims the Ajax centre-back is better than he was at the same age.
Newsonline report that Timber is now fighting it out for a place in Netherlands’ squad for the forthcoming World Cup campaign in Qatar later this year.
Van Dijk believes the Ajax centre-back has all the qualities to become one of the elite.
“I wasn’t nearly as far along as he is now [at the same age],” Van Dijk told reporters of Timber.

“I have nothing but praise for him. He is a great player and a true professional.
“He has so much potential. Hopefully, he can develop further. Then it will be all right, I think.”
