‘BAYERN DREAMING OVER HAALAND’
Sky Germany’s Uli Kohler:
“Dortmund are lucky to have Erling Haaland now and for another year. After that, they have absolutely no influence on where he goes next. You know Mino Riaola will try and get as much money as he can or as much as someone is willing to pay, and that would mean the German teams are definitely out of the race. Dortmund have no fear at all that Haaland will go to Bayern. They can dream, dreaming is allowed, but reality is different.”
HAALAND TOO EXPENSIVE FOR BAYERN?
Sky Germany’s Uli Kohler:
“Erling Haaland is a target for any club who have the ability to sign him, but he will cost a lot of money, Yes Haaland will be available for about €70m at the end of his contract but both he and his agent, Mino Raiola, want a lot of money. I think he will reach the sums that the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo are currently reaching in regard to wages. Bayern Munich are interested in the player, but they simply cannot afford those kind of figures!”

A reminder of what Lionel Messi said in his press conference when asked if he knew when he will play his first game for PSG.
The 34-year-old helped Argentina to Copa America glory earlier this summer and enjoyed an extended break following his involvement in the tournament, before he departed Barcelona last week.
“I don’t know, I was on holiday and it’s all very new. Yesterday I spoke with the technical staff, maybe I need a pre-season by myself.
“I’m going to train and work and get ready as soon as I can, I really want to but I can’t exactly answer your question.
“When I feel that things are okay, I’ll be ready and willing to play.”
PSG FANS WELCOME MESSI TO PSG

DID POCH, NEYMAR INFLUENCE YOUR DECISION TO JOIN?
“As I said before, the whole dressing room and technical staff had an influence.
“First thing I did was speak to Poch [regarding] when a move was possible. Have known each other for a long time and the Argentine connection makes it easier because we are close.
“Of course I’ve got some friends here in the dressing room – when you see the squad you really want to play with them. We’ve got the same goals.
“When we weren’t together we had the same goals and now that we’re together I hope we can make it. I know a lot of the players in the dressing room and we had contact and Neymar of course did a lot and was important in my decision.”
MESSI ON HOW TO WIN A CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
“It’s not easy. Sometimes you can have the best team in the world and not win it – that’s football.
“PSG knows that perfectly, they’ve been so close. It’s very difficult to win it.
“You need a very united squad – this dressing room is very united. But you also need luck and you can also chase the luck. It’s a very special competition – we all want to win it.”

‘WE’VE FOLLOWED FFP REGULATIONS SINCE DAY ONE’

PSG CHAIRMAN: MESSI SIGNING IN LINE WITH FFP RULES
“We follow the Financial Fair Play rules,” Nasser al-Khelaifi said.
“We are always attentive to Financial Fair Play. It’s the first thing we check with the commercial, financial and legal people to see if we can do it before signing someone.
“I think the media need to focus on the positives and not just the negatives of these moves, but what positives he brings. He’s an unbelievable asset to the club.”
IS YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE THE CHANGE IN CULTURE?
“Yes that’s true, I told Leonardo [PSG’s sporting director] that I really hope my family will be at ease in Paris and in France.
“Of course for me, it is a new experience but I am really ready for that.
“At the end of the day it’s football, it’s the same all over the world. I have got friends here and that is going to make things easier.
“I’m sure I’m going to get used to my new team-mates and I am really happy.

“There is no excuse for him now, he can’t do anything else but stay.”
MESSI: IT WOULD BE STRANGE TO FACE BARCA IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
“Of course it was very complicated with leaving Barcelona without knowing where I was going to go.
“Barcelona has been my home, I have been there since I was a kid.
“They knew I was going to join a strong team that will be aiming to win the Champions League.
“I want to have important goals, I know that mine and PSG’s goals are the same and we want to be bigger and bigger.
“I don’t know if Barca and PSG will maybe face each other in the Champions League, it would be nice to maybe go back to Barcelona, and with fans in the stadium because of the pandemic.
“It would be very strange to play at home there but it could happen and we’ll see.”
MESSI ON HOW HIS MOVE TO LIGUE 1 CAME ABOUT
“Di Maria, Paredes, all these players. I know all the team-mates in the dressing room actually. We all had contact actually and Neymar did a lot and was important for my move.”
On playing in Ligue 1: “I have been following this league and because of my friends at PSG I have been following their games [in the past].
“This championship has been growing a lot and PSG has worked a lot to grow Ligue 1. The league is more competitive and all the teams are getting stronger because all the teams want to beat PSG and win Ligue 1.
“It will be a new experience for me, new stadiums, new rivals.”

INTER ENTER KEAN RACE
Inter Milan could make a move for Everton striker Moise Kean, according to Sky in Italy.
Kean was linked with a permanent move to Paris Saint-Germain but that became less likely following the arrival of Lionel Messi from Barcelona.
Kean has failed to settle on Merseyside but enjoyed a renaissance while on loan at PSG past season, where he scored 13 goals in 26 appearances.
Agent Mino Raiola raised Moise Keane’s name with Inter Milan in talks over a move for PSV Eindhoven right-back Denzel Dumfries.
Inter are still on the search for a replacement for Achraf Hakimi, who signed for PSG earlier in the summer.
