The Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, has congratulated the United Kingdom’s new Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak as he formed the government with the King, Charles III on Tuesday.
Newsonline reports that Sunak met the King, Charles III on Tuesday at Buckingham Palace to form government after his election on Monday as the leader of the Conservative Party.
In an announcement on Tuesday, Royal Family disclosed, “The King, Charles III received The Rt Hon Rishi Sunak MP at Buckingham Palace today (Tuesday).
‘His Majesty asked him to form a new Administration. Mr. Sunak accepted His Majesty’s offer and was appointed Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury.”

Giorgia Meloni who took office last week on her Twitter handle assured of cooperation between Italy and UK, standing for shared values of freedom and democracy.
Giorgia Meloni wrote, “Congratulations to @RishiSunak, appointed as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Eager to cooperate with him and his Cabinet on the common challenges, standing for our shared values of freedom and democracy.”
Earlier the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, in a congratulatory message said he looked forward to more robust cooperation between India and UK.
Modi said, “Warmest congratulations @RishiSunak! As you become UK PM, I look forward to working closely together on global issues, and implementing Roadmap 2030. Special Diwali wishes to the ‘living bridge’ of UK Indians, as we transform our historic ties into a modern partnership.”
