'No Campaign' Order, Ansaru Bandits Flog Residents For Campaign Posters In Kaduna

As insecurity continues to batter every part of the country, bandits have reportedly issued a no campaign order in Kaduna State

Newsonline reports that Senator Shehu Sani who represented Kaduna Central in the seventh senate said Ansaru, a bandit group terrorizing Kaduna residents has issued the no campaign order in their state.

Senator Sani said with the rising cases of banditry, the time has come for the Federal government to arm residents to defend their lands.

Sani said the no campaign order in Kaduna State, by the terrorist group Ansaru, shows that insecurity is at its worst level in the country.

He argued that residents know the terrains of their forests and deserts which may not be accessible to security agencies.

Senator Sani said; “The terror group, Ansaru in Kaduna state reportedly issued a ban on political campaigns. That is how audacious they have become. Politicians who must go out for campaigns in the Birnin Gwari axis should be security conscious.”

Sani argued that “When the masses are armed, it will no more take an hour or two for the terrorists to get the necessary response they need. No one knows our savanna and our Desert more than our people. They said security is everybody’s responsibility. The slaughter & rape must stop.”

Senator Sani maintained that “Terror groups operating in Northern Nigeria will be crushed and extinguished when the masses are organized, trained, and armed to fight them.”

He lamented that “they ceaselessly kill our farmers and attack our worshiping places and schools. I support Zamfara State arming the masses to defend their villages.”

Sani said the idea of leaving security in the hands of security agencies is gone and not helping matters.

Senator Sani said all measures by the Zamfara State government to quench insecurity and bring the bandits to lay down their arms have not worked.

He lamented, “Zamfara tried; Dialoguing with Bandits, Banning the use of motorcycles, Closing down petrol stations, Closing down markets, Blocking Phone & internet access,Gumi’s intervention, Tucano Bombing bandits, Using hunters, Arresting traditional rulers, Mass Prayers; And Now Arming the masses!”
