Late Herbert Wigwe’s 90-year-old father has dragged his granddaughter to court over properties.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that one year following the tragic death of Dr. Herbert Wigwe, former Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, disputes over his estate have intensified among his family members. The conflict involves his father, siblings, and cousins pitted against his children over inheritance rights.
Last October, media outlets reported that Pastor Shyngle Wigwe’s family was attempting to alter the will of the late banker to possibly disinherit his children. The family initially denied these allegations. However, a legal challenge emerged online, filed by Christian Chukwuka Wigwe, who claims to be a cousin acting on behalf of Pastor Shyngle Wigwe, contesting the will’s validity.

This challenge led to a public retraction of the earlier denials by the family, with statements shifting to “we have withdrawn the suit. Our concern was the welfare of the children.” However, recent court documents revealed that the family had not withdrawn the case as claimed, and young Otutochi Channel Wigwe, daughter of the late Herbert Wigwe, was named in a lawsuit alongside Uche Wigwe and Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede.
