There tension in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital City as taxi drivers protest illegal VIO charges.
News Online reports that the Federal Secretariat, Abuja, on Monday come under tension following a protest by the taxi drivers in the Federal Capital Territory over the activities of the Vehicle Inspection Office, VIO.
The protesters alleged that the officials of the VIO have allegedly continued to harass and collect illegal levies from them.

It was gathered that Union leaders are preventing taxi drivers from operating by stopping their vehicles and telling their passengers to alight.
