GTB has discontinued Banking App, GTBank Mobile App, and announced GTWorld.

 

NewsOnline reports that Nigeria leading commercial bank, Guaranty Bank Trust Limited (GTB) has announced the discontinuance of the GTBank Mobile App which was launched 10 years ago.

 

In a terse communication on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, titled, ‘We are ending support of our very first Mobile App’, the bank urged customers to download a new banking app, GTWorld.

 

This online newspaper learnt that many customers have been facing a hard time logging into their GTBank Mobile App in the last few weeks.

Customers who get past the login stage also face a hard time executing any transaction on the app. Others even complained about their transaction history disappearing from the app.

 

“Kindly be informed that effective 1st of May 2023, we will discontinue our old mobile banking app – GTBank Mobile App, which was released 10 years ago in November 2012.

 

“Please download the newer version of our mobile banking app called GTWorld from your App store.

The bank added that “You do not have to change your login details. You have already been profiled on the GTWorld App with your existing User ID and Password.

 

“We have put together answers to some other questions you might have in the FAQ document attached,” the bank said.
