Green Worship has disbursed N160m to support children with Special Needs and expanded charity outreach.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Concert For Change, the non-profit organisation behind the renowned Green Worship initiative, has announced the disbursement of ₦160 million to support children with special needs and fund several charity organisations across Nigeria.

The group revealed plans to raise ₦100 million annually as part of its renewed commitment to expanding its humanitarian impact, increasing its supported charity partners from four to ten beneficiaries in the coming years.

According to the organisers, the initiative is driven by a mission to uplift vulnerable children and improve their living conditions through music, compassion, and community support.

The Green Worship 8.0 concert is scheduled to hold next week at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos, where funds will be raised for orphans and children with disabilities.

This year’s concert will feature a star-studded lineup of gospel artists, including Nathaniel Bassey, Dunsin Oyekan, Gaise Baba, Preye Odede, Anendlessocean, Rotimi Keys, Kent Egunjobi, Moyosola Olowokure, Gospel Force, Ellie Scotte, Outgun Onkar, and Wale Adenuga.

Speaking in Lagos, the Convener, Wale Adenuga, described the initiative as a testimony of God’s faithfulness through people with willing hearts.

“This is proof that the miracle of five loaves and two fishes still happens today. Despite the challenging times, charities continue to feed, teach, and care for orphans and children with disabilities. The least we can do is lighten their burden,” Adenuga said.

Proceeds from this year’s concert will benefit five organisations:

  • Comrade David Ofoeyeno School for Special Children (Warri)

  • Marvelous Foundation Orphans Care Centre (Minna)

  • Super Parents Foundation (Lagos)

  • Hope Orphanage (Akure)

  • Learning Disabilities Society of Nigeria (Uyo)

Adenuga added that Green Worship represents more than music, it’s a movement of compassion and hope.

“Through Concert For Change, we are turning worship into a response to human need, transforming songs into tangible support. Compassion is powerful, generosity transforms lives, and together, we can bring hope to others,” he said.
