Governor Uzodinma Appoints Brother Chief of Staff, Reappoints Iwu SSG

Governor Uzodinma has appointed his brother Chief of Staff and also reappointed Iwu SSG.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma has appointed his brother, Ferdinand Uzodinma as Deputy Chief of Staff, CoS, General Services.

 

He also reappointed Cosmos Iwu as the Secretary to the State Government.

In a release by the Chief Press Secretary and Media Adviser to the Governor, Oguwike Nwachukwu, he disclosed that Barr Nnamdi Anyaehie, the immediate past Chief of Staff, has been reappointed, while Dr Patrick Ekeji and Barr Olisaemeka Sydney have also been reappointed as Deputy Chief of Staff, Administration and Deputy Chief of Staff, operations, respectively.

 

The release further stated that Mr Sam Anyalewechi Nwaobasi has been confirmed as Special Adviser to the Governor on Programme and Policy Implementation Monitoring.

 

Ferdinand Uzodinma before his recent appointment was once a councillor, Transition Committee Chairman and Sole Administrator Oru East Local Government Area in the State.

 

Oguwike said that the appointments take immediate effect.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the appointments are coming after the House of Assembly confirmed 12 commissioners for the governor.

 

However, he is yet to assign them portfolios after their confirmation two weeks ago.

 

The Governor was sworn in on January 14 for his second term.
