Anambra State governor Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has described as fake news a report claiming that over 20 million tonnes of gold reserve worth $9 trillion was discovered in the South-East.
Newsonline reports that Governor Soludo said the report was a piece of false and untrue fiction from an inaudible medium.
While urging the public to disregard the fake news, Soludo, enjoined the public to always stick to verifying information associated with him.

An online medium (not Newsonline) claimed that a “gold reserve estimated to be over 20 million tonnes and worth over $900 trillion has been discovered in Ehamufu, Anambra State.”
Governor Soludo in a statement said, “My attention has been drawn to the above false information peddled across different social media platforms. Every letter of this piece is as fake and untrue as the unidentified writer who invested precious time to put together this fiction and published same, understandably so, in an uncredible medium.
“I urge the reading public to disregard this, and always stick to my verified handles or approved government channels for any information that bears my imprimatur.”
