Newsonline reports that Nigeria Superstar, Don Jazzy has already started a rebuild of his powerhouse label, Mavin Records.
The record label which has maintained its spot as one of the most influential imprints in the Nigerian music industry has had several stars pass through. And that’s what they do, they pass through. Right now, there’s an array of new school artists passing through.

Don Jazzy’s label, Mavin Records, is a powerhouse in the music industry, to say the least. A formidable force to reckon with, the label was created in 2012 after the unfortunate Mo’hit split. Don Jazzy has been at the helm of things since its inception.
Mavin Records’ roster used to include Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Dr Sid, Iyanya, and Di’ja who have since exited the record label. There’s a new crop in town now, and here’s a list of all the artists under the Mavin umbrella as of August 2023.
Full List Of All Current Mavin Records Artists (2023 UPDATE)
1. Don Jazzy
Who knows maybe he has a recording contract or something? It doesn’t matter anyhow, because it’s his company and he will always be the boss. Soldier come and soldier go, Don Jazzy will always be at Mavin.
Except for the times he occasionally does collectives, he doesn’t release songs at all. With a new collective album on the way, though, we may get to hear more of Don Jazzy.
2. Rema
Perhaps the most important player in Mavin’s current roster, Rema was signed to D Prince’s Jonzing World, but also has a deal with Mavin.
He is Don Jazzy’s main man and has been for the last three years. With his debut album making waves, Don Jazzy would not want to lose him anytime soon.
3. Ayra Starr
The 20-year-old star has only been here for about a year and a half and is already one of the top artists in the country.
A talented hitmaker and powerful vocalist, Ayra Starr is not only one of the hottest female artists in Nigeria right now, but she’s also doing enough to go toe-to-toe with her male counterparts.
4. Magixx
Magixx is Mavin’s unlikely underdog who Don Jazzy signed last year. Even though he doesn’t have an A-list persona like Rema, Magixx is actually pretty good.
His song, “Love Don’t Cost A Dime” has turned out to be quite the hit, and Magixx’s place in the record label cannot be underestimated.
5. Ladipoe
When Don Jazzy signed Ladipoe years ago, he was the only rapper on the label. Today, he still is. But that doesn’t seem to make any difference because when it comes to hits, he’s been pretty all right.
Ladipoe had a Song of the Year in “Feeling” last year and with his “Providence” project, he’s proven that he could do a lot more.
6. Johnny Drille
Johnny Drille has been on the roster for quite a while too. An alternative artist, Drille doesn’t really get much of the hype at Mavin but he’s a good one and Don Jazzy seems to like him.
Johnny Drille is a talent and also has some production credits on some of the other Mavin artists’ songs.
7. Boy Spyce
Boy Spyce is the latest addition to Mavin Records and with his EP being one of 2022’s better projects, he’s already a sensation.
He went viral more than a year ago on social media doing a cover of Wizkid’s “Essence,” and got everyone’s attention. Everyone including Don Jazzy, apparently.
8. Crayon
Crayon hasn’t always been the star of the show at Mavin, and has been on the sidelines for quite some time now.
He has released two EP’s, one in 2019 and another in 2021. But he’s just now gaining momentum with his work on “Overdose.”
9. Lifesize Teddy
Mavin Records, renowned for its legacy of nurturing emerging musical talents, proudly unveils its freshest addition, Lifesize Teddy.
This latest signing, encompassing the talents of a rapper, poet, and singer, underscores Mavin’s ongoing commitment to fostering some of the nation’s brightest and youngest musical sensations.
