Fintiri condoled with the Lamido of Adamawa, the Mustapha royal family, and all who mourn him, praying for Allah to grant the deceased Aljannah Firdaus.

Mustapha joined the Nigeria Customs Service as a cadet officer and rose through the ranks to become Comptroller-General in 1999. His tenure was marked by strengthened anti-smuggling campaigns and active participation in several national task forces against economic sabotage.

In recognition of his service, he received the Ministerial Award for Outstanding Performance in 1988. He retired in December 2003 after more than three decades of dedicated service.

A respected elder statesman, Mustapha was the elder brother of the Lamido of Adamawa, Muhammadu Aliyu Mustapha, and held the traditional title of Sardauna of Adamawa. Until his death, he remained a prominent voice in the Customs community and an influential figure within the Adamawa Emirate.
