JUST IN: Facebook Reacts To Calls To Ban Buhari Over Genocidal Post

Facebook has reacted to call by Nigerians to ban Buhari over a genocidal posts on the platform.

 

News Online reports that Facebook has stated that Buhari’s controversial statement on the Nigerian civil war – which was deleted by Twitter – doesn’t violate their community standard.

Twitter, News Online earlier reported deleted President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweet where he issued a threat to deal with “misbehaving” elements in “the language they understand”, while making reference to Nigeria’s civil war.

 

While defending its action, the tech company said the President’s tweet violated its rules.

Unlike Twitter, Facebook has left the message on their platform, as they stated that it doesn’t violate their community standars.

Replying a user who reported the post, the social media giants wrote;
