Details of President Tinubu’s meeting with Security Chiefs and IGP have emerged.

NewsOnline Nigeria had earlier reported that President Bola Tinubu on Friday met with security chiefs at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.

This Nigeria news platform reliably gathered that the purpose of the meeting was to review the state of security across the country.

After the meeting, Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, revealed that the President expressed concern over the recent rise in security threats and gave fresh directives to enhance operations nationwide.

He stressed in the need for intensified efforts and stronger collaboration with neighboring countries, blaming the worsening situation on the influx of terrorists and jihadists across the Sahel region due to porous borders.

Musa disclosed that all military theatres in the country have been strengthened, with new equipment procured and approvals granted for air assets and other security enhancements.

He also highlighted the importance of non-kinetic strategies, including collaboration with communities and government support to promote peace and development.

He noted that security agencies — including the military, police, DSS, and the office of the National Security Adviser — are working together as a team to restore and maintain peace across the country.

Nigerians were urged to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities, and avoid spreading fake news, especially old or foreign videos being misrepresented as current events in Nigeria.
