COVID-19: Iowa, Montana Governors Say No To Mandatory Vaccine For Kids

In Iowa, parents have the right to make decisions about their own children’s health, and I’ll keep fighting to keep it that way.

The Governor of the state of Montana, Greg Gianforte, and the Governor of Iowa, Kim Reynolds, have said under their administrations, Covid-19 vaccines will not be mandatory for kids.

Newsonline reports that the two governors, Greg and Kim said parents, not government, shall have the sole decision to determine if their children shall take Covid-19 vaccines or not.

Governor Greg Gianforte, in a tweet, said “I trust parents to raise their kids and do what’s best for their kids’ health. On my watch, the State of Montana will not mandate the COVID-19 vaccine.

25th Governor of the great State of Montana, Greg, added ‘In 2023, I look forward to working with legislators, patients, doctors, providers, and hospital administrators to develop more meaningful, innovative solutions that improve Montanans’ health and their access to care.”

On her part, in a tweet on Friday, Governor Kim Reynolds, said, “Under my watch, there will be no COVID vaccine mandates for kids – period.”

Kim added, “In fact, we signed a law that prevents it.” She added, “It’s the parents’ decision, not the government’s.”

The 43rd Governor of Iowa further said, “the Covid vaccine remains available to those who want it, but it should never be mandated! We passed legislation to prohibit schools, colleges and daycares from doing so.”

She slammed the Biden administration for what she described as ignoring the freedoms afforded to the American parents and choosing control and power over trust.

The Iowa governor said, “But, once again, the Biden Admin is ignoring the freedoms afforded to the American people and choosing power and control over trust.”

She maintained that ‘In Iowa, parents have the right to make decisions about their own children’s health, and I’ll keep fighting to keep it that way.”
