BREAKING: UK Protesters Loot Stores As Far-Right Riots Escalate

Prime Minister Keir Starmer has warned these protesters that they will face consequences for their actions.

UK protesters have rooted stores as far-right riots escalate.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that stores in the United Kingdom have been looted by far-right and anti-immigrant demonstrators.

The unrest, which erupted following the tragic death of three children, has now extended over five days and across multiple cities.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer has warned these protesters that they will face consequences for their actions.

In Rotherham, South Yorkshire, anti-immigration activists vandalized a hotel sheltering asylum seekers.

The riots, triggered by false reports of a mass stabbing in Southport, have seen violence spread nationwide, with numerous towns experiencing clashes between protesters and law enforcement.

Video footage from the BBC seen by NewsOnline Nigeria, showed rioters breaking into a Holiday Inn Express in Rotherham and setting a bin ablaze near the building.

It remains uncertain if asylum seekers were present at the time.

In Middlesbrough, demonstrators clashed with riot police, hurling debris and projectiles.

Over 90 individuals were detained following violent clashes at rallies in cities including Liverpool, Manchester, and Belfast.

The rioters have engaged in widespread looting, property damage, and attacks on mosques, fueled by misinformation about the suspect in the Southport knife attack.

Authorities have attributed much of the unrest to the English Defence League, an anti-Islam group known for its links to football hooliganism.

The protests, organized under the slogan “Enough is enough,” have seen demonstrators waving British flags and shouting anti-immigrant chants.

Counter-protests have also taken place, with anti-fascist groups in cities like Leeds chanting against the far-right.

The recent disturbances present a challenge for Starmer’s newly elected government, which is still in its early stages following Labour’s recent victory.
