BREAKING: Trump Vows Permanent Halt to Migration From “Third World Countries”

Trump’s remarks also follow a tragic incident in Washington, D.C., where a Virginia National Guard member, 20-year-old Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, was killed and another critically wounded in a Thanksgiving-eve shooting.

President Trump has vowed permanent halt to migration from “Third World Countries.”

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that he plans to permanently halt migration from “Third World countries” if returned to office, while also reversing immigration admissions made under President Joe Biden.

In a strongly worded holiday statement posted on his social media platform, Trump argued that the current U.S. immigration system has placed “massive strain” on public services and contributed to economic and social pressures in major American cities.

Citing census data, he claimed that the foreign-born population has risen to 53 million and accused federal and state governments of bearing heightened financial burdens from recent migrant arrivals, claims that immigration experts say oversimplify the realities of population shifts and public spending.

Trump’s Statement: “I Will Permanently Pause Migration From All Third World Countries”

Trump’s message sharply criticized Biden’s immigration approach, blaming it for increased living costs, infrastructure pressures, and uneven refugee settlement programs. He singled out Minnesota as an example of what he described as communities “struggling to cope” with new arrivals.

In part of his statement, Trump declared:

“I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries to allow the U.S. system to fully recover, terminate all of the millions of Biden illegal admissions… and remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States.

“I will end all federal benefits to noncitizens, denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any foreign national who is a public charge or security risk… Only REVERSE MIGRATION can fully cure this situation.

“Other than that, HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL — except those that hate, steal, murder, and destroy everything America stands for. You won’t be here for long!”

Despite the fiery rhetoric, Trump did not introduce any new detailed policy proposals during the announcement.

Political Context: Immigration Now a Top Voter Concern

Political observers say Trump’s renewed focus on immigration reflects an effort to energize conservative voters ahead of the next election cycle. With recent polls showing immigration as one of the most polarizing and pressing issues among Republican and right-leaning voters, Trump is leaning deeper into his signature policy theme.

Reference to Thanksgiving Tragedy

Trump’s remarks also follow a tragic incident in Washington, D.C., where a Virginia National Guard member, 20-year-old Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, was killed and another critically wounded in a Thanksgiving-eve shooting.

Authorities identified the suspect as Rahmanullah Lakanwal, a 29-year-old Afghan national who entered the U.S. in 2021 under a program created following Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan. Trump referenced Beckstrom during a call with military personnel, describing her as “outstanding in every way.”

The suspect remains hospitalized after sustaining injuries during the confrontation.
