Tinubu Ministers
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is reportedly planning a second major overhaul of his cabinet.
According to reports, several ministers, Directors-General (DGs), and Managing Directors (MDs) of federal agencies and parastatals will be replaced.
A source close to the presidency revealed that the move is part of a broader strategy to reposition the administration and enhance performance across critical sectors.
Although no official statement has been issued, the proposed shake-up is expected to impact both political appointees and key technocrats within the federal government.
“There is something about the power of the presidency; no one is above the president. Once you become a liability, you are gone like the fuel subsidy”, the source said.
The source further speculated that the ongoing cabinet review may have been one of the reasons behind the president’s recent trip to France, where he will be able to carry out discussions without the interference of political lobbying.
Recall that Tinubu had previously reshuffled his cabinet in October 2024, naming seven new ministers, sacking five and reassigning 10 others to new portfolios.
