President Tinubu has appointed Olusegun as acting DG of the Bureau of Public Procurement.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that President Bola Tinubu has appointed Olusegun Omotola as the acting Director General of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP). Prior to his appointment, Omotola served as the Director of Legal Services in the Bureau.
A statement by Janet McDickson, the Director of Information and Public Relations at BPP, confirmed Olusegun’s new role.

Olusegun Omotola, who hails from Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, earned his Bachelor of Law (L.L.B Hons) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, in 1991.
According to the statement, he is a seasoned administrator with extensive experience in capacity building, contract negotiations, drafting and management, computer hardware and operating systems, total quality management, infrastructure development, and public-private partnerships for infrastructure and services.
“He has attended numerous seminars and courses on effective leadership, change management, office routine, and work ethics.
“He has also received training in maintaining acceptable financial management for sustainable development in the public sector and participated in the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP), among many others,” the statement read.
The statement added that he is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, representing the Federal Ministry of Finance.
Olusegun Omotola, the most senior director in the Bureau, took over from the former DG, Mamman Ahmadu, who was relieved of his appointment by President Tinubu on June 15, 2024.
