Popular Nigerian Actor Okemesi is dead.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Bamidele Tope Saint, popularly known as Okemesi is dead.

 

The comic actor reportedly died on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at about 11:50 a.m., after being hospitalised.

 

According to reports, Okemesi had spent several hours in a coma following complications linked to medication administered during treatment at the hospital.

The news of his passing was announced in a video shared on Instagram by fellow actor Tony Montana Jeff.

 

“With a heavy heart, I’m announcing to the world that Okemesi is dead. The doctor pronounced him dead at exactly 11:50 a.m. this morning, February 24, 2026. Okemesi is gone,” he said.

 

Jeff added that the actor’s body has been deposited in the mortuary and that further details regarding funeral arrangements would be communicated later.

 

“So, on behalf of the entire Bamidele family, I’m announcing to the world that Oluwatope Bamidele Saint Okemesi is dead. We have taken the body to the morgue. I will communicate the rest of the arrangements to you guys. We appreciate everyone who turned up for him,” he stated.

 

Fans and colleagues have begun paying tribute to the late entertainer, remembering him for his comic roles and contributions to Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
